scrap 100 pu...
I have embarked again on going to the gym and 'Starting Strength'. This time I am going to succeed. James, my brother has done a lot of reading and has a great deal of knowledge on the human body and building strength. He is going to train me in the dieting and excersise requirements of it all.
I plan to read up as well, so that my own knowledge is sufficient, but as I am on holiday in NZ at the moment, I figured now would be the perfect time to really get into a routine at the gym and get used to the idea of lifting weights.
Today I did a whole range of exercise's with the mindset of knowing how heavy I should be lifting for the rest of the x2 weeks I am here.
Today I lifted:
Squats: 40KGs
The Press: 30kgs.
Deadlift: 60kgs
bench: 40kgs.
7 half-chinups.
I probably found the press was the most challenging in terms of my potential. From here I am going to try and add 5kgs to each side of the bar (maybe 2.5) and then will try to lift that weight and record my progress.
I am going to take a photo of myself on Christmas day, 2011. I want to take another photo on Christmas day 2012 and see the comparisons.
This time I really want tom ake it work at the gym.
